When we began Avtar Human Capital Trust (AHCT), it was with a singular,

Empowering underprivileged girls in government schools (Grades 8–12) to reach their full potential through education, skill-building, and community support. By fostering career intentionality through mentorship, life skills, and professional training, Project Puthri enables financial independence and long-term success.
Nipuni Career Pathing Program
Preparing undergraduate girls from underprivileged backgrounds with industry-relevant skills for a future-ready workforce. A structured three-year journey that builds employability through digital literacy, leadership, career coaching, and certifications - bridging the gap between education to employment.
Puthri Scholarship Program
Providing financial support to deserving Puthri Scholars to pursue higher education. This initiative ensures that no girl’s educational dreams are cut short due to financial barriers, paving the way for stable, mainstream employment and breaking intergenerational poverty.
MITR
Transforming adolescent boys into empathetic allies, fostering a more equitable and respectful society. By sensitizing young men on gender equity and shared responsibility, MITR creates male champions who advocate for girls’ rights and well-being both in schools and beyond.

Highlights from our events, corporate engagements, and initiatives
March marked a series of powerful milestones across our programs, reflecting scale, depth and collective impact. Scholars advanced through NCP initiatives, building critical skills in communication, teamwork, data analytics and emerging technologies, alongside new certification pathways.
A standout highlight was the successful conduct of three Refresher Workshops in Chennai, Bengaluru and Madurai, bringing together volunteers and mentors to reconnect and strengthen their commitment. Project Puthri and MITR concluding sessions marked meaningful closures, while workbook distribution across multiple schools enabled students with essential learning resources, further strengthening our on-ground impact.
